Midway Properties was founded in 1972, primarily representing lake & resort properties.  The company was expanded to include residential and ranch properties throughout the area in 1973.  We were the first brokerage in the area to become REALTORS and associates of the REALTORS associations of Texas and the United States.  Our office has continued to lead the way in improvement of marketing tools and professional representation through 1991 (computerization), 1993 (direct marketing), and 1997 (Our own Internet web site).  We led the way in 1995 to get an MLS (Multiple Listing Service) in Wise County and helped with its implementation.  We have stayed a small office (10 or less agents) by choice and have compiled a very experienced team of associates.  The average age in our office is 46, and the average time each has lived in the area is 30 years.  Our staff has completed a cumulative total of over 2500 hours of accredited Real Estate courses as well as selling skills training.  We have four GRI graduates, 3 Bachelor Degrees and 2 Associates Degrees; ranging from education, to agriculture and business, to aviation.
